The distance my regiment was from the Culpeper Road was about 600 yards. (The regiment of the brigade were arranged as follows: Right [to left] Twenty-seventh Virginia, Thirty-third Virginia, Fifth Virginia, Second Virginia, Fourth Virginia.)
